End User License Agreement

End User License Agreement for the Lineon app.

1. License Grant

Qorvano° — Dustin Dondrup (“Licensor”) grants you (“End User”) a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app “Lineon” in its native variants (iOS, Android) under the terms of the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store), and in the web variant at https://lineon.qorvano.com/ under those terms of use.

2. Usage Restrictions

You may not:

  • a) License, sell, rent, lend or otherwise transfer the App to third parties
  • b) Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble or extract the source code or the underlying algorithms
  • c) Copy (except for permissible backup copies), modify or create derivative works
  • d) Attempt to remove or circumvent technical protection measures
  • e) Use the App in any manner that violates applicable law
  • f) Mass-automate image uploads or PDF exports to overload the web infrastructure or bypass the payment mechanism

3. Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, functionality, designs, algorithms and underlying code, is protected by copyright and is the property of the Licensor. This EULA does not grant you ownership of the App, but merely a limited right of use.

Excepted are the build guides (PDFs) generated by the App and the finished string-art works produced from them — these are yours, with full rights to private and commercial use.

4. Third-Party Licenses

Lineon uses open-source components under the BSD, MIT, Apache 2.0 and SIL OFL licenses. A full list with license texts is available inside the app under “About · Third-Party Licenses” or as THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.md in the public repository.

5. In-App Purchases and Web Payment

Depending on variant, the App offers in-app purchases (Native) or pay-per-image via PayPal (Web). Refunds are governed:

  • on Native by Apple’s or Google’s refund policies,
  • on Web by Section 3.3 of the Terms of Use.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” THE LICENSOR MAKES NO WARRANTIES REGARDING THE APP’S ERROR-FREE OPERATION, UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

In particular, the Licensor assumes no liability for:

  • The aesthetic suitability of the computed result for a specific photo or board size
  • Data loss caused by app uninstallation, browser-cache clearing or device malfunction
  • Damages arising from the use or inability to use the App
  • The long-term availability of the web variant (lineon.qorvano.com)

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Licensor’s total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant variant (native purchase or web pay-per-image).

8. Termination

This license is effective until terminated. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically if you breach any provisions of this EULA. Upon termination you must delete the App and all copies.

9. Third-Party Terms

Use of the native variants is additionally subject to the terms of the respective app store:

For the web variant, PayPal’s terms additionally apply as payment processor. In the event of a conflict between this EULA and the store or PayPal terms, those third-party terms prevail within their scope.

10. Severability

If any provision of this EULA is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

11. Governing Law

The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply, excluding the UN Convention on the International Sale of Goods.
